This course goes back to basics and will teach the absolute fundamentals of how to get started with organics.
The gardens at Ballymaloe Cookery School are certified organic so everything we do must be done organically.
This course will cover the whole approach to organics which includes:
- Looking after wildlife
- The importance of healthy soil for healthy plants
- Composting, crop rotation and plant care the organic way
- Learning to approach nature and the garden in both a curious and sensitive way
Good to know:
Aim to arrive 15 mins before the start time.
A staff member will meet you on arrival and there will be some tea, coffee and sweet treats to enjoy before starting the course.
Please wear weather appropriate clothes such as wellies, wet weather gear and sensible shoes for going out around gardens
Course notes will be provided.
There will be a full lunch provided at the end of the class.
What if my plans change and I cant attend ?
We understand that things can crop up and sometimes people have to cancel their place, we allow you to allocate your space to a friend or family member at no extra cost right up to the day of the course.
