Using our own demonstration urban garden at Ballymaloe Cookery School, this course is ideal for those wanting to get the best from their back garden.

Filled with practical tips from seed sowing, planting, soil fertility and composting as well as managing and cropping in a small greenhouse, all the way through to harvesting and storage, this course is ideal for both beginners and the more experienced gardener. 

Good to know:

Aim to arrive 15 mins before the start time.

A staff member will meet you on arrival and there will be some tea, coffee and sweet treats to enjoy before starting the course.

Please wear weather appropriate clothes such as wellies, wet weather gear and sensible shoes for going out around gardens

Course notes will be provided.

There will be a full lunch provided at the end of the class.

 

What if my plans change and I cant attend ?

We understand that things can crop up and sometimes people have to cancel their place, we allow you to allocate your space to a friend or family member at no extra cost right up to the day of the course.
